One can not grasp the beauty of surge-protector if one shuts Him out of their life.
But on a serious note surge-protectors are a relatively inexpensive long term investment. Like I said a couple pages ago I just had a power-outage, and I'm glad I had my surge-protectors en force.
Considering how "cheap" a good surge-protector is (around 50-80 bucks), it's a small investment in your gear. Plus you can get really good ones which clean your power, provide battery back up, and give you a more steady stream of power (no dips and such) like uninterruptible power supplies.
Don't be such a noob.
Wake up.
And smell surge-protector. Otherwise you'll be smelling your A/V equipment!
