Medium - Rare. Hate people who ruin a good steak by cooking it beyond medium. Why pay sometimes a premium to chew on a piece of leather. Its so much more fluffy and juicy and full of flavour.

when i was a server at this nice steakhouse like 3+ years ago, i noticed that like 9 out of 10 black people ordered their steaks well done. even a filet. it was weird. i could literally walk up to my table, and guess in my head what they were going to order and i was right 98% of the time. i asked my black friend what that was about and he just laughed and was like, "yea i dont like my fuckin steak raw, that's shits nasty, i like my meat cooked!"

on the grill sometimes i like to throw some A1 on it right before I take it off, sear both sides with A1 and then pull it off the grill to let it rest for a few minutes...then eat up!

Cooked 30 seconds on each side. Anything longer than that is burnt.

I was at a BBQ a few months back and my buddy bought this HUGE filet piece from the health food grocery store. It was the best filet I’ve ever had. He practically bought the whole cow. lol anyway, his buddy made this delicious blue cheese topping for it, and ever since then, I’ve been hooked on blue cheese. I used to not be crazy about it, but now I love it, especially on burgers.

He mixed crumbled blue cheese with mayo and garlic and a little bit of worstershire sauce, and then put a glob of it on top of the filet right off the grill, so it melted a bit. HOLY SHIT. Amazing.
