depends how/why you broke up;
there is a good possibility, no doubt about it.

Yes, the reason why you broke up I would say is a definite factor, as well as how much each of you want to stay friends. I dated Josh for 2 years on and off, yet he is still my best friend to this day, and in fact our friendship is the best it's ever been. But we broke up on good terms, and both didn't want it to affect our friendship. *and that's all I'm going to say about my personal life on the boards*

In reponse to the theme of this thread, once you broke up, you don't go back. Breaking up is a one time deal, if you couldn't work your problems in the first place you're most likely to break up again. Staying friends is alright, that's something some of us could live with.

I agree and disagree with this statement. I think the key thing is that you tried to work out your problems in the first place. If you just gave up and broke up due to problems, and then got back together and actively tried to fix the problems I think it could work. But if you tried to fix the problems the first time around and it didn't work, then I don't see it being any different the second time.
The other thing too is time...how long you've been apart, and how much each of you has grown as a person. People do change.

100% agree. People don't always break up because they hate each other. Sometimes, for whatever reason, they just don't desire romantic involvement with anyone at a particular time. Always stay friends.
