Well, only scene making a progression is house and it's fixed to a certain type of sound for most part.
I think Techno has progressed quite alot over the last year or so. We have seen the progression of house music over the last 3-4 years. House music is the scene in Toronto right now....but I think Techno will surpass house music in the next year as the scene in toronto....we are already seeing more techno being brought into the city...maybe not at places like Guv but its here.

Trance will always be around and will always be popular because of the feeling you get when you're listening to it under the influence of a specific drug.
I do agree that house and techno is getting very popular, Z103 made it popular cause of Fedde le Grand, Tocadisco, etc.
But I think the next big genre to make it big and popular will be Electro

I always thought that EASLIY the best spot was the stage area.
Every party at the Guv where the booth was at the stage just ROCKED cause of the DJ/crowd interraction
I agree that the stage is an awesome spot and fully expect the booth to end up there. I just think that having a booth in the middle of the floor would definitely set the guv apart from any other club in Toronto, making it truly different.

I've said it before Trance is like EDM for Dummies....its a good way to get into the music but then you realize there is so much more out there.
I disagree with this one. I know at least a few people that are just getting into EDM and they don't like Trance at all, but love house.

bash z103.5 all you want.. but the fact is, it's getting alot of previously closed-minded EDM haters into the genre. Let your friends listen to it for awhile, then kindly direct them over to Club 246 or Energy
