personally, i do want to pursue the notion of being able to do what i want at the exact and any time i want to. however, simply put i dont have enough money to do what i want, and wont for a while. so one has to pursue the goal and hope that he doesnt get obliterated in the process.

at the end of all things, hey at least you tried. just make sure you do what you really want to be doing, but be smart about it. ie. dont get yourself killed or put yourself in a position that attracts danger so you can live longer to achieve what you want. thats all you can do, really.

1. Why? it's not bad to be practical about things. You're right, life isn't about money, but i never said it WAS. It's about living in the now (enjoying the simple things) and planning for the future.

2. Ok.......but our need for living AT LEAST a 'comfortable' lifestyle is found by working hard. You have to in order to get some cash to pay for whatever it is you deem necessary in your life

and finally,

3. society society society...
what about a person who actually WANTS to have a good amount of cash, not only for themselves but to support a family and so on.

You gotta start thinking about all that crap at some point! Otherwise, we'd all be starving poets on the street corner living the "going with the flow", care-free lifestyle that seems to have other things tied along with it....like....HUNGER lol

Going with the flow means taking one thing at a time. I find all too often that people have very high standards and expect to become fairly successful, and work their fingers too the bone in order to do so. And we wonder why there are so many people on anti-depressants. Going with the flow means not having your eyes set on a long-term goal, because that can lead to tunnel vision.

you seen his other stuff of the same genre if you will?

if not, before sunrise and before sunset, two GREAT fucking films, both in the same style (not visually, but rather the lack of a plot and just very very interesting conversation)
i'd highly recommend everything he's done

Will check em out for sure, sounds like fun stuff to watch while baked.
