That kick post for reason works really well. Nice thick kick. I set one kick channel left and one right and gave the right channel a little bit of an attack. it gave it a wider sound. Also i added a really deep bass line to the left channel with a little bit of attack and a low pass and a cloned bass line on the right channel with no attack and and a delay on both channels and it sounded deep and thick.

Hmm...spreading bass around the stereo field tends to be a traditional no-no in dance music, because it makes the needle skip once you press it to vinyl.

That being said, if you check out Moony - Dove (I'll Be Loving You) with headphones, the bassline is phased in big fat stereo. I don't know how they got away with that.

Yo Taz. adding attack to left channel minimizes this expecially if you use two slightly different bass sounds.. i used the Bread bass for the right channel and a garage bass for the the left channel and it really does sound nice.

ok people
I got samples from Vizay and from DJ Chrono now

I still want some quality samples for thr
"Tranceaddict Reason Refill"

It would be great to get some

+ great leads
+ still some pads
+ some bass
++ and some harder Bassdrums

PM me where to send the files which I shall
add to the Refill.
I want mainly wav files for the NN19, but I take also Maelstorm and

nice thread. good work everyone!

ok, this isn't related with phat sounds but i was playing around FL and try to do a rework of Mainx and sound de-zign. you know, like PvD did it for mayday 2001 and 2002. so i was wondering how he gets such "stacatto" piano (i really don't know how to explain this, but if you listen you will see).

first i use envelope and some gating. it sounds nice and all but it's just not it. it's how-to-say "empty". maybe i didn't use the right piano sample? do you know (or have) some piano samples i could use? maybe some other ideas? FX i could use?

thanx

Get the Fender Rhodes piano plug-in.
It sounds like a real piano!
