I wasn't expecting an all-ages show, but there were many <18yolds at the show. They look at it a chance to see someone that they can't normally see (cause most shows are 21+ and massives are mostly 18+ now).

That's typical in any music genre. ("I saw {insert band here} at the {insert small venue here} before they sold out!") It's called promotion...
You can either deal with it (and fight the masses), complain about it ("He sold out!"), or just find someone new.
