if you all want a club night you should go to a club night. It was obvious to me before hand that armin only was going to be a HUGE production.. like trance energy. its a totally different experience. thats why i went. we don't have many parties like that in the US.

I will have to second that. Although I feel Armin hasnt been given the same reception as say PVD or Tiesto when they became #1. For example Ultra Music Festival in Miami has PVD headlining the main stage meanwhile Armin plays a Mid-day set. Whats that all about, He is the #1 not PVD. Tiesto was falling for a little while but I think he has found his way again and wouldnt be surprised if he reaches #1 again in the future. Armins new CD is an amazing production, but like some Norwegian friends put it, its a very safe CD, nothing very experimental with sound. I think Armin in my own honest opinion hasnt recieved the respect that other # DJs have gotten.
But as for Armin only. It did have an element of life feel to it to a certain degree. I would do it all over the same though anyway, it was an amazing event and had a great time. I would make sure though next time I was working with ID-T and not deal with Timoco, the cues to get in were retarded and how hard would it have been for the organization to take a picture of how Trance Energy was and do it that way. it was a Mega Cluster Fuck with the locker.

and here comes the bullshit you talk! trance energy and armin only are two events wich you cant compare in no other ways. of course it was from day 1 clear that armin only would be more then just a big party (wich trance energy is).

Guys give those foreigners some slack. We are spoiled, for some years we have these kinds mega-events with great production. When it comes to event production we are simply one of the best or maybe even the best in the world. Still I think the best parties in the netherlands are the outdoor festivals and not parties like trance energy and armin only
You know guys like armin and tiesto they have a lot at stake and they want to think big. They simply have to compromise commercially and focus on a broader audiences.
