Anyway... W, A and D class fares are usually the first ones to be sold, so you will have to book this well in advance to make sure you even get it... that is unless NWA decides to force the fare for you (not likely.)
If I were you, I would save it for a week to take a trip down to Hawaii or something in the dead of winter.
A and D are non-flexible economy on NW? Weird....every airline I've flown A is discounted First Class and D is semi-flexible business class.
