The first time I went to the Zone was in 1997. It was amazing. You could hear DJs like Ann Savage for only $5. All the people wore thier rave gear - soothers, fat pants and all. It was simply an amazing vibe. Shortly after it seriouly degraded. But you know what? I have always had a good time there. Although I haven't been since 2004. So Ia m not sure how it is now. Just be selective to who you talk to. I am living in Montreal now and the scene really sucks here compared with Toronto. They don't have anything like the zone here.

I'm not sure why you want to make a production out of things and go after a club. If you really want to enjoy cz, why don't you just stay in a sat night and go sun and devote the night to it. that way you won't have to worry about expenses etc as well.
