in related news the Phillies also let Mitch Williams throw out the 1st pitch today
it was promptly drilled over the left field wall

If they hadn't won 2 of the last 4 WS, he would still be despised, I'm sure.

If he didn't have such a good first game, it would've been much easier to grab him.

yea winning seems to make a lot of problems go away. on a side note, there was an article in the Chicago Tribune about how the cubs should forgive bartman and let it go.

I'm sure that article is written by the same writers who put Bartman's address and place of employment in the paper the day after it happened.
If Bartman wasn't sitting there, someone else would've been.
And, really, if Alou didn't react the way he did (ie: like a raving lunatic), no one would even know who Steve Bartman is.

You can't just look at the Eastern Time Zone schedule and add 5 hours?

Cueto had a bad game today...vs the Pirates ....but hey I guess he had to have one sooner or later. The other young SP with the Reds that impresses me is Edinson Volquez.
lol @ the Tigers...thats what you get for thinking the D-Train still had some in him
and I was surprised to see that the Marlins still in 1st today.I know it wont last long but yeah Larry Beinfest proving everyone wrong again heh

yeah reality is sure going to hit florida soon. being outscored by 10 runs currently isn't going to help them in the future. however their strong road record(4-1) looks promising. hey as long as hanley ramirez and mike jacobs continues on their tear, they're on a good pace. however, their starting pitching looks awful! if their leading pitcher has an ERA of 4.15, that's a problem.
