So they improved by five games? Is .500 really that much of an accomplishment in the East?
I think the Bulls are doing better than anyone expected, yes, but I still think they kind of suck. Boston always comes out flat in the first round, and without Garnett and Powe their bench is as deep as igk's kiddie pool. Perkins has played poorly, and Pierce is missing shots he would have made when he was a bit younger. Did Miller really add anything Nocioni didn't already give? Salmons is alright, but he's still streaky as hell and doesn't play any defense.
Denver beat a good New Orleans team by 58. As loaded as the top 8 in the West are, that never happens. With the exception of the Cavs, I don't see anybody in the East even coming close to the remaining teams in the West (Dallas, LA, Denver, or even Houston).
