I think that some people are barely able to cope with the harsh reality of our world as it is and that in order to be able to maintain their sanity they have to erect barriers around themselves which prevent them from seeing anything that might harm them.

In other words, they will fight to the death in order to maintain their ignorance because if it wasn't for that ignorance they would barely be able to live.

It's also much easier to deny something than it is to confront it because once you confront certain problems then you have to consciously decide whether or not you might actually have to help fix them, which is where I am right now in despite of all the resistance that I get when publically delving into these subjects.

I can agree with you, for the most part, that we on Tranceaddict tend to bite into the conspiracy theory apple; and after doing a brief search on chemtrails, i cannot find one legitimate source that neither proves or disproves its affect on humans. So while chemtrails may not be a spraying program intended to keep us from attaining higher spiritual awareness/consciousness, to reduce ethnically targeted populations worldwide, and to induce bioengineered disease organisms in order to reap staggering profits for the pharmaceutical cartels, I still think we should research any detriment that it does cause -- and not shun it off, as you so do.

Nothing wrong with questioning. But conspiracy theories don't question. A theory, by its very nature, attempts to explain something. A conspiracy theory tries to provide an alternative theory of reality contrary to whatever is the predominant view of reality. Unfortunately, conspiracy theorists don't place a great amount of emphasis on observable/forensic evidence. So they demand we believe or we're trolls, sheep, ignorant, agents of the conspiracy (look at sig)...

The fact that the chemtrail issue has been raised by numerous sources including members of different governments (such as Fotis Kouvelis of Greece) should be a testament that it is in fact an issue which we should all be concerned about.

For all we know it could be contributing to our being dumbed down or perhaps even something much worse.
