Problem is, the end of that song sucks.. The only cool section was the one he used in the mix. The rest sounds gay...It wouldn't fit with trance.

Judging from the sounds of the sample, don't go too crazy on the bass - switch it up a few times perhaps.
If you're having trouble finishing it, just fuck with the perc layering and filtering. You'll be done in no time.
