Now maybe you understand how some of us feel about you fucking Mexicans. Fucking banging down the road in your early 90s Honda Civic, highest gauge rice burner possible, going 5 under the god damned speed limit towards your Uncle's ranch out in the swamp with his fucking rug-lined Sunday Ford truck, gawdy mudflaps amidst dualie wheels, with the Virgin Mary sucking off Jesus at every visible inch. But don't get me wrong, I do enjoy your little ethnic knick-nacks; I often purchase Jesus candles in the 'ethnic foods' section of my local Grocer at very affordable prices so that I can arrange them in my bathroom to have 25 Jesus faces staring at me while I shit. Respect.

economy isn't the only thing involved here. The fact is that for years the republicans who have been in charge have refused to take issues seriously like climate change. Now whatever you want to think, things like that affect more than just yourselves, but the whole world. As Alex said earlier, the only thing McCain sees is drill drill drill and whilst oil is such an issue tensions will continue because America will stay in places like Iraq. Obamas policies are very similar in some ways to those of western europe, in the fact we need to harness more green technologies & powers. Use what comes naturally, wind, water, light than leading the world into a mess for one countries own greed and refusal to do something.

abe lincoln was even younger, had even LESS experience in washington (two years as a house REP), and had a very very trying time in US history to become president (civil war, slavery, states' rights, etc).

no one will ever know what to do unless they're in that situation.

I totally understand how hasselback must feel on the view with this damn site.

I do not think Obama is a messiah Melly. America is very fucked up right now. Can he fix it? I don't know, Bush did a lot of damage. I am looking at this from an outsiders perspective as it is somewhat interesting. It will not really change much about my life, as my source of income has 0 to do with the United States.

I will ask this though.

Would it hurt for America to have a better image abroad? The majority of the world dislikes America (albeit mostly for reasons that are inaccurate and stereotypical). Obama has generated a lot of interest across the world. Would fixing this tarnished reputation help America in terms of wider acceptance of foreign policy? The days of the bully are coming to an end, and with less support from foreign governments these policies will not be effective. Opinion?

If Mccain dies in office (yes a big if, but it is not out of the question.) ,do you believe Sarah Palin is qualified to be President of the United States?

What has she done?

Other than your "I hate black platform", what do the Republicans bring to the table that you really feel the need to support?

these are just curiosities, i will respect what you say even though i will probably not agree with it.

I am not voting for him because he is a terrorist - I never said that. I just honestly - don't think he will know what to do if anything ever happens.

I mean anything in general. Have you ever seen him react to anything? No.

He's too young in the senate to know what a President should do.

Honestly my dream team would be McCain * Romney. but w/e I deal with what I am dealt with

perhaps his youngness & naivety could work for the better? How in touch with the world, let along america itself is someone like McCain? New generations bring new ideas & acceptances. The man has charisma, people want to hear what he has to say because of how he puts himself accross.

The UK is currently being run now by a man who not only wasn't elected but who has no voice, no charisma, no leadership. He's an astute businessman but people don't have anything to look for. Our problem right now is that none of them do, Blair was a good leader for us for a while because people could understand him, he spoke to people on all levels and whilst not brilliant at whatever behind the scenes, he was a face people could trust in because of the way he carried himself.

All 500 or the basic ones.

I don't like blacks - low life blacks and will forever vote the opposite of them because I have nothing in common with them.

I don't live off the government.

I don't like DEMS on their stance with Cuba.

I don't like how rude DEMS are and they can't ever fuking let people (who don't think like them) just be.

I am American and proud of it.

I think anyone who fights for this country has more of a right to run this country than a stupid black man who preaches like hes MLK.

really?

too many points to address while i'm here in class, but real quick:
I am American and proud of it.

I don't live off the government.

Don't think for a second that the Democrats are any more guilty than the Republicans for pushing their views. Obama is not the messiah, george bush is not the devil. Some of us don't believe the hype, but chose to look beneath it and decide based on informed opinions

And lastly
I think that anyone who thinks that ANYONE has any sort of 'right' to run this country doesn't quite get whats going on here. Not to mention that you can fight without taking up arms. Or in McCain's case, getting to fight in Vietnam only because he was trying to live up to his family reputation, sucking as a pilot in general, and upon finally flying over vietnam crashing his plane, and upon being captured made it clear he was the son of a general, essentially guaranteeing him better treatment than his compatriots.
And hell, even if I agreed with all of McCain's positions I would still hesitate before voting for him based on his temper and decision making in the last several months, he's been nothing but erratic.
