i used to be the ecstasy weekend warrior the second half of 2000... i learned to control it since then, only dropping every couple months or so. tolerance is the key. i dont think i'm going to quit mdma anytime soon, but i know damn well that i won't ever come to the point that i take so much ecstasy that i'mma bad trip and say fuck this.

This is why ive decided to stop doing this mentally damaging drug. The last 3 or 4 times of using, my buzz has worn off quicker, and the come down has been far worse, resulting in me throwing up from such bad migraines. The feeling of depression and emptyness isnt too swell either. I dont regret doing E, since it is the reason i got into the electronic music scene. But i thought i'd post this to other users who have considered quitting, and maybe make people realize you can enjoy raves/parties without the chemicals.

Ok after further thought on the situation, i decided to do xtc ONE MORE TIME. And GODDAMN it was good. Just like the old times, felt like i was floating, i loved everyone, and i danced non stop until 8 in the morning!!! So for those of you who have lost that wicked feeling when using........take half a year off!!!!!

U4ea:

once again your wisdom in thought rings a bell true with me.

i am generally paranoid about people. that is why i had so much of an awakening with rolling... through the empathy and euphoria.

however i do see examples of culture from early last century and in history... and i have even recollections of feeling the same way for brief periods of time before i had taken anything... giving me appreciation that the way i am now was facilitated by mdma but that when rolling it is also no different to the everyday. i still love everything the same way. i gain the pleasure from trees for exactly the same reason when schmangled as when i am straight. people are special for exactly the same reasons.

and the older ppl who have been loving the world and going to dance parties for years are often substance free.

i have lots of respect for (hippy) culture and these people.

one day i will be in the right place with the right people and drugs are not necessary .

i also test all my substances...

i have had different effects with 'only' mdma. recently with some good quality pills i have found much less desire to dance and harder to communicate with words... anyone else get this with certain types.

my culprits were versaces and (to a lesser extent) lab grade caps.

hmmm. i know the answer to my situation but am kind of interested in the range of experience and effects on others.

when i first did it, the guy who gave it to me said it was E. I liked it alot. for me, mescaline was alot smoother than shrooms and my body adjusted well to them

he he he...

i just got a cactus ... san pedro. he's a bit small but growing. i haven't yet. its just not something you see here... perhaps i dont know where to look. and i dont know if i'll make tea out fo the plant or refine to mescaline (the active component). differing effects apparently...

i think i would like to because of the reference made in the matrix. where mr anderson chats to his mates on the way to find the white rabbit...

interesting head space too. a friend put it to me like this... it has come to us through cultural descent from indigenous peoples of the americas who hold specific rituals to do with its consumption. they are very careful with its use because the legends tell of people who went to the other place and left their spirit or part of their soul there and for ever more search for it restlessly. i am not sure if it possible to find it again.

i look forward to the day when i am prepared to go there and feel confident in doing so. i think that i will incorporate it into a spiritual event within the beauty and peace of natural surrounds.

Well....duh. I for one can't understand people who do drugs that don't READ UP on it before they try it. First time I dropped by 1.5 years ago I'd read alot about MDMA, seratonin, 5-htp, dopamin and so on, I knew alot about it before I tried it.

It's common sense not to do MDMA too often, or it looses its magic, which would be a shame since it's such a wonderful substance, that everyone should try,

according to the rat researchers...
large doses of vitamin c BEFORE consumption of massive (relative) amounts of mdma was neuroprotective.

firstly the doses of mdma was large enough to produce measurable brain changes in rats

secondly the method of action was postulated as an antioxidant effect

thirdly L-tryptophan a substance available from health food stores is a precursor to seratonin and i find that (subjectively) after having some pills that i feel much better with less wednesday nasties.

do not overdose on pills. there is only so much euphoria you can get. more pills only means more sideeffects and too much seratonin (dont dose up on tryptophan before you roll) can lead to a terrible and frequently fatal condition of seratonin syndrome where your autonomic nervous system goes to shit and you lose the ability to suitably regulate for example: body temperature, muscle tone, blood pressure ect.

beware... take care...

better harder faster with the beats but when it comes to drugs ultimately less is better and nearly exactly the same as more
