Anyway, here we go again..


Things that annoy me at the moment is..

- The frequent over-use of the word "DAW" when referring to which music-program one use. It's more proper to use the word "Sequencer". DAW involves much more than just the Sequencer, so it's foolish to use that term.


- People who talks about mastering when they are really referring to mixing. A classic example: "This is a new tune I'm working one. But I still have some mastering left, especially on the bassline."


- Artists on MSN-messenger who has a nickname which covers the entire screen in lenght, With all their different aliases and self-promotion etc.


- People who don't understand that it doesn't matter which sequencer you use (Cubase, Reason, FL, Logic, Ableton etc). If you are good at what you're doing it doesn't matter at all, so please.. for everyone's sake, stop making threads like "Which program is the best for Trance??" etc.

- Oh, and last but definetly not least..
The neverending and completly useless discussion around hardware vs. software.(Please don't start ANOTHER disussion about that here!!!!)

commercial and underground electronic music (house/techno/trance/other) will surpass today's hip hop/pop/rock/country in worldwide interest...if it has'nt already.

didn't have time to read everything in here, so not sure if it's been said, but..

people who think djs are producers, or that all djs play only music they have mad themselves... it sounds so insane, but i've had it a number of times.. fuckin n00bs

this goes along with the people who think edm is easy to make thing..

basically everyone at my school who listens to EDM annoys me. They are the kids who think they're raving when someone plays Lady Gaga. They like Basshunter. There is a "nightclub" in a place nearby that is non-alcoholic (16-21yrs only) and the DJ's are named DJ Caffeine and DJ Bizerk and DJ Anarchy. These kids go to this club and go crazy for the worst music ever. These songs that use supersaw leads as if it's '99 and the supersaw is fresh and new. Just go to the page, http://www.zerogravityclub.com/ A while ago they played "Now You're Gone" on the main page, it's something else now but it still sucks.

That's what annoys me. I'm not a nostalgic old guy (I'm 17) so I'll say that I do like a few current songs. But these kids that like the really shitty stuff annoy me.

also I annoy myself as a producer. I suck and it's annoying as hell.

You just described the real rave scene. That's it. There is no place where "kids don't lsiten to shitty music"...you forget what is popular these days?
