Likewise everyone deserves to decide what they would like to do with their life, otherwise it isn't a free country.
Personally though I've worked in many occupations I wasn't in support of and it got me no where - this lead me to live my own life, and its given me freedom rather than drudgery.. I'm better off for it. If society doesn't need me that is fine - its the law, its the law politicians made - if people don't want it then elect people who don't support it.
You want to give up your legal rights?
After all the government has put me through they owe me big time so I have no qualms in taking money from them.
I've been tortured, incarcerated, starved, beaten up, my legal rights deprived multiple times as others broke the law and deprived me of my rights. Frankly I could care less - and the fact is I do apply for work I'm interested in, and I'm on the market, if no one is even willing to pay me for work THEN FUCK OFF, I've put myself on the open market.. and NO one was interested.. not my issue so don't give me this.. not willing to work BS. I'm not willing to be taken advantage of that is all it comes down to. People deserve to be valued for what they do, and if it ain't worth it for me, I shouldn't have to do it. That is the jist. If it is a productive social result then I'd definately consider it.
Frankly though a lot of work isn't needed to be done it is a pure money grab by companies that make huge mark ups and rip people off. |
You didn't 'put yourself on the market'.
Listing your consulting services on eBay isn't a real job application. Have you tried applying at a service station, Subway, McDonalds, a bar, a cleaning company? No? Why?
You haven't because you think those jobs are demeaning, and you'd rather take money from the government (or more accurately, tax payers). Personally, I would rather work an awful minimum wage job than live with the shame of taking money from others when I didn't need it.
