I always told , DJ can show his skills only in big sets, hate all those 1-1.5 hours sets, intro, a few own tracks and outro. There want to book Cosmic Gate to our city this autumn + some other famous DJs, but i told them, better spend money only on they and they will play 3-4 hours, price the same, instead Schossow or other pointless DJs. Heard long set from Tiesto, still can't find Armin's 7hours long set, from PvD also can't find recorded set, would be very interesting to get somewhere recorded Andrea Galucci 10hours set or Richie Hawtin 6 hours

The longer sets are really where a DJ proves his or her worth. The one DJ is entirely in control of the mood of the night from start to finish.

Some DJs excel, some fall flat on their face. It's an art, and I admire the ones that can do it greatly.

Usually openers have their own agenda or idea on the night, so when a DJ can play from the beginning right through the end without an opner the vibe is amazing, if the DJ is a good one. Patience and also trust in both the clubbers and DJ are probably the most important thing.
