A friend of mine shot himself last year because he was experiencing bouts of psychosis due to unmanaged schizophrenia. His family made a FB page for him and people still post on it all the time, send him messages, etc.

Yes, he had problems. Yes, he was depressed. I just swear that the person I saw in September was a different Raul. Which pains me the most.

I valued our friendship and I saw no signs of it coming. His nephew was with him that night sleeping over and doesn't know what triggered this to happen. It may not come as a shock to you guys who know the OLD DA... but the Raul that I was seeing this past year - was a much brighter one.

No one knows why and I guess we never will.
