well you got me there.

But progressive trance definitely came from progressive house. that's dead obvious considering how progressive trance started to surface a year after british progressive house subsided.

Anjunabeats never released any progressive trance. At least, none that I am aware of. It was a euro disney cheese trance label. Progressive trance was pretty much finished by 99, being supplaunted by the bigger, beefier anthem trance and washy dutch supersaws. Hooj was probably the biggest progressive trance label.

I couldn't agree more - thank god anjuna didn't release any progressive trance.

where's your articulate elaboration to explain why it didn't?

why do you think the real progressive trance tracks can be long and at least 10 minutes like progressive house?

I'm not going to discuss where trance came from, just want to remark that about every answer I read here gets mentioned at this German wiki page too:

LMAO!

Progressive Trance ist eine Unterform des Trance in Verbindung mit Progressive House

that's what it says, and I bet it translates to progressive trance is a form of trance that originated from progressive house.

So your only evidence that progressive trance came from progressive house is that both can have tracks that are 10 minutes long?

...are you a fucking retard?

I may be insane and twisted but I ain't a retard.

I'm still waiting for your eloquent speech to prove me wrong again.

no the fact that they're long was only my 2nd argument. I already stated two facts:

- progressive trance debuted right after progressive house
- both genres can have tracks over 10 minutes long, which is significant leading up to my next point:

- their length shows how they're both focused on progression instead of being housey or trancey. progressive trance got that idea from progressive house - it had to. marc mitchell's productions as sunday club are quintessential when it comes to that progression.

No.

The adjective "progressive" did not refer to "being focused on progression." That is just the later misinterpretation that Internet trance kids put on it.

lol well if yall keep being on the defensive instead of countering my arguments, I'm all for it.

who was talking about internet trance kids? I hate them too. the focus on progression is my argument.
