Info on locals in the side tents about to be announced as well.

How many other tents will there be? Any idea when the next increase is? Would like to get my tix soon, but also would like to see who are in these other "side" tents first.

2011.07.01 The Dance.Here.Now. Festival

DANCE.HERE.NOW. FESTIVAL

A 4-Day Open-Air Music Festival at Governors Island NYC

July 1, 2, 3 & 4

New York - You have your common sense reasons: It won’t be over 100 degrees; you’ll avoid spending half of the weekend stuck in traffic; you’ll get to fire up the grill.

Now, the Dance.Here.Now. crew, in association with Pacha New York, Massive Event, Glo Fridays, and Cielo, is giving that devil on your shoulder his own motive for staying put in New York this July 4th weekend.

The DANCE.HERE.NOW. FESTIVAL is taking over Governor’s Island for an unforgettable four days and nights of epic parties with the world’s top DJs, with a sonic and visual onslaught by festival specialists AG Light & Sound.

From trance to glitch, big beat to electro-house, the roster features a huge span of styles and talents, all uniting under the blue skies of downtown NYC in a first-of-its-kind open-air festival in a historic venue.

No rushing from stage to stage to catch 30 minutes of your favorite act: DHN is dedicating entire days/nights to individual talents and their hand-picked support staffs. With big names like this, the DHN crew couldn’t imagine doing anything different.

NYE was fun! I made a few great friends that night and some some awesome videos! I dont get out too much, but I make the most of it when I do! So it's always a great set imo. I can't remember, but I think the last time I saw PVD in Miami was WMC '08. It's been too long. My bf and I went like, every year, and then...duhn duhn duhhhn... I bought these expensive Dolce and Gabba shades that were jinxed and I haven't been back. Stupid pricey hexed sunglasses. I sold them this year after I was left out of yet another Miami trip lol so hopefully I will make it down for 2012!

Also, Sleepy...how does the contest work? Do I just have to like it on fb or fill something out? I want backstage goodness!!!

I can't wait to see Calderone in a festival setting again, if you haven't you should def give him a chance. I did in Detroit (because someone kept telling me I should) and was absolutely BLOWN AWAY, one of the best sets I heard that weekend. Motherfuckin' WOW.

Fatboy Slim played a pretty awesome set as well, I *think* there's a link of the DEMF set floating around somewhere, I'll post it for you guys if I find it
