Well according to Pioneer here (and this is behind the scenes stuff) they haven't generated profit on plasma for a looong time and part of the problem is that in making plasma they have been limited to 2 'sellable' sizes being the 42" and 50" (fvck all actually buy the 60")
Looks like they'll be making the switch to (vomit) LCD.
BTW Kuros is as good as it is because it uses the pioneer panel, I love the pana's but a pioneer/pana combo wouldn't look as good - It'll just be cheaper.
