So, i went to the gym today and figured i was indeed doing something wrong with the bicep curls.. on the upwards movement i wasn't rotating the arm, but instead already having it facing up at the start of the movement. Still, i can't get past 6.5kg on my left arm, it's fucking weak, it's already hard to do it right on that weight. With my right arm i can do 8.5kg correctly. I seem to have my left side under-developed or something, my left shoulder is lower than my right too. |
There is no 'correct' way to begin or end a curling movement as far as when and where you twist your wrist along the way, if that's what you're talking about. You don't have to rotate anything when you do dumbbell curls.

Yeah, because you'll be losing fat. If you put on muscle with weights you'll see less of a weight loss because muscle weigs more than fat and you'll lose fat, but the muscle you gain will offset that and you will not lose as much weight overall.
I don't see what the big deal is about doing DB side laterals with 60 lbs man. I'm starting to think this 'super strict form' bs with laterals is a load of crap. Like on every other muscle I do i'm sore the next day at least, but doing strict side laterals with like up to 40-45's wasn't seeming to blast my side delts at all. I started doing heavy ass 55-60 lb sets of 4-6 reps with a slight cheating movement at the start of my reps (but not letting the weight hit my thigh at the end of the movement). It seems to blast the hell out of my side delts and this could be exactly what I need to make those ******s grow.
