thats new to me, there's no signal in the metro generaly.

There's some signal repeaters in big stations, but nothing in between.

I think it's good not to have signal between tunnels, at least no talking.

Imagine if everyone is yapping in the metro like in Paris where they have signal everywhere ugh.

Wifi will be amazing ... but don't forget, VOIP apps. But not everyone will use it yet.

people already yap away on surface routes, why delay the inevitable? besides if this is a concern over etiquette we might as well ban noisy teenagers, people who pick their nose, and any other kind of 'undesireable' public behaviour..

the subway is as much of a public space as a bus, streetcar, soon to be city-LRT, or any other TTC facility. the fact that it so happens to be primarily underground doesn't mean that we should simply ban cell phone service because a subset of the population exudes poor etiquette?
