I wanted to be a pilot when I was a kid, but somebody told me that you had to have 20/20 vision or better, so I gave up on it. A couple years ago, I found out that it wasn't true. Sucks.

you can wear contacts and be a pilot. in fact, the AF now will let you have a certain style of lasik eye surgery too for correction. (previous styles were not allowed, as the g-force could potentially rip open the stitches, even years after they've healed on the eyeball itself).
