Downloading music is NOT illegal, sharing is. I don't know about your country but that's the law in Finland.
Yes, of course it's morally wrong but the bottom line is that you're allowed to download as much music as you feel like as long as you don't share. Software on the other hand is another issue altogether.
I don't understand, though, why someone wouldn't want their clips (if they indeed are only clips, I'd understand if they'd been full tracks), after all it only means more publicity. If me & Mart hadn't shared our tunes (FULL versions) we would never had gotten signed.
Of course that didn't stop a lame-ass group "ripping" the mp3s I'd encoded myself but if they want to release original demo versions then so be it. They're not going to be the released versions anyway.
My point? Did I actually have one?
