To get pished and coked and end up in a ditch? No. To get up and play the gig of your life half an hour later? Yes.

Sasha ended his Involver Tour in LA on July 3rd and played a fucking disgusting set. I saw Junkie XL with his chick Gabriel and Dresden….fuck lots of people were there just to see the man work those decks. Half the night I didn’t know where the fuck I was….lol….blame that on the drugs. The next day Danny Howells and Hernan Cattaneo were playing for 4th of July and to everyone’s surprise Sasha shows up and goes back to back with Danny. What else can I say about the guy!

Anyway back on topic. The only person missing from all this was James. Well he will be here in LA in about 2 weeks or so…….can‘t wait to see him in action. We need some more young and fresh talent like James in the business…to set the standards high. James keep up the good work baby!!

I was at this gig as well, I think I've seen James everytime he's been in denver (at least I hope I have ) I must say that out of all the dj's that I've seen there that James is the only one to actually go and play afterhours at the club across the street(which he has done everytime). Most of em are in such a hurry to get outta the Church (main club) to their limo's (or in Armin's case a toyota carolla ) that they dont bother to really cater to their fans (other than the autographs/pics). I spoke with James after the first time he came and he gave me his gf's email address so that I could get more info on him. The guy is a class act, and a real down to earth person, its good to see that as he becomes more popular and well known that he continues to be the same person.

"I’m a dance floor favorite? Great! I would say the passion that I feel for the music I buy and the honesty with how I play it. I play the records I love not the ones that simply work. I’ve never taken the easy music option (which would make me a lot more money by the way) but chosen to push people a little. I try to draw people in a new direction slightly and expand their taste a little more than other DJ’s." - Lee Burridge

Can't wait to check out Zobby-la-la here in San Francisco on the 23rd....best of all, it's at the Mezzanine here! Best sound system around here BY FAR. It goes boom boom real good!

Ahhh, memories of Sasha there last weekend. Dreaming of JZ and Digweed there in the near future.

Oh yeah...whoot!!

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of uppers, downers, laughers, screamers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.
