G&D played this track live in Austin this past weekend. After hearing it live I love it even more. Its such an emotional track. 10/10 for me

Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness; chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself. - Timothy Leary

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but this message board would be a much more enjoyable place if opinions were expressed constructively. If the board becomes a place where people just spit out poisonous negativity in order to vent their own everyday frustrations, then we may as well pack up and go home.

Fortunately, most of us are here because we love the music and as the majority, we can help by not rising to the bait when someone is talking out of their arse on a monumental level (e.g. Judging a track without hearing it!).

People seem to be split down the middle about No One On Earth which is cool, and probably a sign that the tune is a little bit different from the norm.

Personally, I am a huge fan of all the protagonists in this song. Gabriel & Dresden are personally responsible for taking the trance genre forward into an exciting new direction, while Above & Beyond have pioneered an uplifting, melodic and brilliantly engineered style of trance that has undoubtedly had a huge influence on today's new generation of producers. It was cool to hear Armin Van Buuren make exactly that point when Above & Beyond were guests on ASOT a while back. The singer Zoe Johnston is also one of the UK's most exciting vocal talents and I can highly recommend her work with Bent (Swollen and Private Road) and Faithless (Crazy English Summer - genius!).

You can tell a lot of emotion went into producing No One On Earth and it has a kind of hypnotic quality. Apparently Oakenfold is caning the original mix and I was also at Godskitchen when Armin dropped the Gabriel & Dresden mix last week and it was a very special dancefloor moment. Obviously I'm really into Above & Beyond's stuff and I may be wrong on this, but it wouldn't surprise me if No One On Earth grows into one of the biggest tunes this year

I really didnt like this track at first, odd for me when it comes to G&D. but its really grown on me, and now I love it

that rarely happens with me

I think if they removed that "uhh-uhh-uhh-uhh" from the beginning of the vocals (the first thing you hear from the vocalist), then it would sound much better

just my $0.02

I've been a fan of this remix for a couple of weeks now

and after I heard Armin drop this in front of me last night

I'll have to give in 11/10......

This track is an absolute beauty

I still remember the moment when the TAs and Armin was singing along with it......the sick bassline along with the beautiful breakdown!!!!

I really can't wait for the release of this tune!!! It's a must own tuneage IMO

Magical stuff from both A&B and G&D. Throughout this thread it was said that this track grows on you, which is very true. This track is one of the better ones recently, the vocal are good and adds to the beautiful feel of this track. It fits in nicely at #3 of my top tunes so far in 2004. #1 Fictivision vs.Phynn - Escape (Phynn Mix)
#2 Mike Koglin vs. Jono Grant - Circuits

I have to say i like the Original more. I just love the energy it has.

But the G & D remix is still darn good!

PS: I just learned today and Oceanlab and Above and Beyond are they same group!

Maybe somewhat late, but look. You make tracks that are released worldwide and played by the biggest DJ's in the world and you don't expect any criticism(founded or unfounded)? Welcome to the real world. As i've said before, learn to deal with it now or learn to deal with it later, but it's never going to go away. No matter how many times you whine about it on TA.

Maybe you should make some forums of your own and moderate it so that everyone on it praises every one of your works aka. Tiesto.com.

Harsh? Maybe...but you need to wake up. You're in the wrong profession if you can't take some criticism, objection, and outright insults from people you don't know and never will know.

To summarize...don't take it so damn personally.

Gabriel & Dresden dub is pure quality. This tune has that something.
As for the other mixes, I don't like those vocals.

He's pissed because someone was judging a song before even listening to it.
