this is one of the reasons why i love the nba .. you never know what to expect from the teams and players .. it's the trade like this that makes you go .. "wow .. what a trade .. i never saw that coming" ..
but now phily has korver, jackson, webber, and iverson at the start, they can go a long way now .. who knew one trade by phily could shift the polarity of the eastern conference giants .. as long as webber puts up some double doubles, korver makes at least 3 3's, and iverson puts up 25-30 a night, a very tough team to beat .. however, williamson and skinner were great for the sixers off the bench .. provided some defense ..
as for sacramento .. .. that's all i have to say .. i don't think they are thinking about the playoffs this year .. if you traded 3 of your returning starting 5 in the past year, you know that they are thinking about next year, not this year ..
now i am awaiting for the hometown hornets to take baron davis and jamal mashburn from us .. who wants them ????

maybe Mchale thinks he can turn this team around himself now that he's the coach
way to many trades today, one that jumps out of me is the Nazr Mohammed trade, him and Tim Duncan together now makes the Spurs even tougher.

minnesota didnt involve with any trades, because of probably these two issues :
1- no one wants to deal with spreewell, cassell, eddie griffin, or kandi .. those were probably the guys minnesota wanted to trade, and no one wanted them
2- kevin mchale, the current head coach and gm of the squad, didn't want to mess with team chemistry heading into the playoffs .. he knows this team came close last year, so he just needs to bring the team chemistry back into fire before the playoffs start .. only if they do make the playoffs .. hmmm.. ..
only one expression is on my face after today .. .. and another ..
click here for all the trades that happened the past two days ..
it's true .. i knew the hornets were going to dump mashburn and davis ... i was also going to mention that lazy bum rogers .. good luck with this guy philadelphia .. you may have high hopes for him when you see him drop 4 3 pointers, and a really good offensive game one day .. then the next few days, he's nothing but a lazy bum .. plays no defense .. doesnt know what the word 'team philosophy' means .. never sticks his guy .. always gets winded .. out of shape bum .. hahhahaha ...
i like speedy claxton .. brings a lot of heart to this squad .. if the hornets plan to keep claxton, and trade glenn robinson, like we traded jim jackson to phoenix, things will go allright for us hornets .. we are the trade magnets down here .. here's what we traded over the season when it started ..
shipped : darrell armstrong, jim jackson, jamal mashburn, baron davis, rodney rogers, david wesley
got : dan dickau, casey jacobson, bostjan nachbar, [some other guy from phoenix .. i forgot his name .. he was phoenix's first round pick last year .. something like that] ..
so far so good .. the hornets are dumping the high priced players

.. i just said the same thing .. we all know what mchale is thinking .. ..
should there be a committee to look into the san antonio trade ? .. should it be unfair that the best team in the nba have gone from the best in the nba to the bestest in the nba (cant go furthur than best, so it's bestest .. san antonio has just invented that word after the trade ) .. come on! .. malik rose is a good basketball player, but nazr mohammed ?!?!? ... what was isiah thomas thinking ??? now you got horry, duncan, nestorvic, and mohammad crashing the boards .. who can beat this team now ?? the closest teams to them right now are dallas, phoenix, and seattle, and they can't match up with this big 4 ..
hands down .. because of this trade, san antonio gets an automatic ticket to the finals .. no contest .. sacramento would have made a push, but now that webber's gone, forget it .. minnesota could make a run, depending on how they fare in march .. bad march = bad april, and possibly no may ...
[edit]
forgot to mention that the atlantic division has done one of the sneakiest things i have ever seen .. first new jersey gets vince carer .. then philly gets chris webber .. now boston gets antoine walker .. .. they turned this division from a bunch of sub 500 teams to a bunch of hopefuls ready to knock off indiana, miami, and detroit .. i shouldnt speak too soon, but with these trades, they look like they want to compete with these eastern powerhouses .. we will see in april/may ..
