I think people here are giving themselves too much credit for their looks. I see countless people saying, "I just don't like it when they hit on me!" Just because he talks to you, doesn't mean he's hitting on you.

I read this thread from beginning to end this morning, not realizing it was from back in the day. I thought to myself, holy shit, did TA actually start to begin intelligent threads outside of Political Discussion / Debate?! I was wrong. Although there are some intelligent people who posted in this thread, who still are members. =/

I will never accept homosexuality but I wont hate the people who make that choice. I would never ever associate myself in any way with a homosexual just like I would never associate myself with a meth addict because to me its morally wrong and why let something that you are against into your life? I just ignore it because 1. hate takes time 2. hate takes energy 3. the other side always wins. If I ruled the world however I would ship all the activists to a deserted island. You dont see me putting straight pride bumper stickers on my car so dont rub your irregular lifestyle in my face. That is what confuses me. If I was a hateful person I would be running many keys through such cars. If you are gay and keep it to yourself you are the same to me as the guy who is straight and keeps it to himself. A few bad seeds in the gay community really screw things up for the ones who just live normal lifestyles. People who wear it on their sleeve are the ones to do away with. I guess in 50 years cheating on your wife will be more open and acceptable too it already seems to be these days in this screwed up society but nobody really comes out and says it. After all everyone does it. I just hope we can all start BAAAAAAA'ing like sheep once we take these next steps.

I have no problem with homosexuals but I hate how everything that happens is based on tolerance. If I beat up a black guy it might be because he stole my wallet and not because he's black. If I get cut off in traffic by a homosexual male and I yell at him it's not because he's gay.

So many people see it as a scapegoat of sorts or just that the world revolves around a certain aspect of their lives, be it race or sexuality or whatever. I just think that it's sad that so many people use things like that to their advantage and make things worse for people who just accept who they are and move on.

If I hire a man instead of a woman it might actualy be because he's more qualified or put forth a better first impression. By all rights the woman could go to female rights groups and say that I'm being sexist, if a guy did it he would be laughed at, just like a straight person calling someone prejudice against straight people.

I fucking hate when people use something like that to their advantage because it gives them a bad name and breeds even more hate. Be gay and proud but don't rub it in my face every chance you get, it makes about as much sence as me flaunting the colour of my hair. Sure people might care at first and love/hate it but at a point you're just after attention.

I don't like gay people not because they are gay but because of their behavior. Let me explain myself. If two guys want to ram each other up the ass, fine, what they do on their free time is their business. However, I don't like it when guys talk in a queerish manner (high pitched and lispy) and act like women. So its not really their sexuality that bothers me, its the fact that they need to act like flaming bitches.

And you say you don't want to associate with homosexuals because you consider homosexuality to be immoral (how can it be considered immoral, btw, if it's between consenting adults?), but how many of the people that you associate yourself with have an impeccable moral history in your eyes? Do you hang around people that have ever stolen, or cheated, or lied? If so, what's the difference between these people and a homosexual in your opinion?

Dude, just some general life advice for you here: people have opinions. Some of these people, for reasons only they will understand, choose to voice their opinions in the form of pithy sayings on bumper stickers. Oh yeah, because we heterosexuals are notoriously good at keeping our sexuality to ourselves, aren't we? None of the things you mention are normal to the general population, however, to state that nothing is normal shows a failure in logic that I would not expect from you.
