Moore made a great observation/commentary about American Society in Bowling for Columbine. It was his presentation of it that ultimately doomed his message.

How can your message be heard, if it is drowned out by cries of displeasure due to it's hideous appearance?

On the contrary, his presentation was brilliant - he redefined the documentary genre - but his message was off-base. People saw through the slick packaging, revealing the tripe within.

#1 - You obviously hold disdain for Moore. His overbearing attitude, like @ the Oscars, likely turns your stomach. Your presentation of your arguements are similar in childish tone and temperment as him yelling "fictional election" in a frantic display.

#2 - And what was so full of tripe in Bowling btw? His observations and theories of American society and it's culture of fear, guns, and consumerism are very insightfull, and for the most-part correct. Debate some of the semantics of his figures all you want, but the overall ideas about American Culture and firearms presented throughout ring quite true.

#3 - And nothing he did "redefined" the documentary genre. He simply used the documentary method/syle, and only partly, to present his theories/ideas. He didn't do a doumentary on the Columbine Shooting, as explore the relationships guns, fear, and the media all play in American Culture, and why Americans seem to slaughter eachother.

Actually aside from his anti muslim statements, shadowolf makes good points and backs them up with documented proof. I don't see much documneted proof coming from the other side of the arguement. Just comments such as "they are all the same anways so who cares?"
