Love em or hate em, the best top tier dj's I've seen when it comes to interacting with the crowd is a toss up between Armin and Ferry.

I'm not a big fan of trance like I used to be...but Ferry is still in my top 5 djs just because he is such a COOL guy.

Same here. I got off my ass and saw him this past new years day. He was kind enough to have a small conversation with my girlfriend while he was mixing when she got his autograph. That's the sign of a dj that gives a shit about his fans. We went to the same venue to see Tiestor, and he had a big sheet over the back of the dj booth, and never talked to any of his fans unless you count the sluts in the dj booth. If you wanted an autograph you had to go through someone in his entourage first, and then if they felt like it they would get him to sign it. I saw plenty of people turned away.

w00t some new facts :

quote:
de komenden maanden wil Tiësto het wat rustiger aandoen en hij terug naar zijn roots met gigs in kleinere clubs; hij wil immers meer tijd vrijmaken voor vrienden en familie

Tiesto is going to do the little clubs again (like the isos tour i think)

quote:
Tiësto staat open voor samenwerking met andere producers en hij plant de komende maanden enkele remixes

Tiesto wanna do (if i translate this good) projects with other producers and he's gonna release some new remixes in the next few months.

people like yourself probably haven't heard a sasha set since like 2001... i agree there was a part of sasha's near distant past where he played pretty boring prog...but that time has been over for a good year now and what he's been playing...in my opinion...has more energy and is better than every trance dj out there...

so really...even if people haven't liked sasha in the past because of the deep proggy stuff...people should really give him a chance these days...he's definitely playing at #1 caliber these days...

Couldn't have said it better!

Ok [blunt mode on]

Tiesto is number 1 because DJ MAG is now a shameless PR stunt, depending on who can get the most people to vote for you. Tho that does not really matter because it's who is number in your books that counts and people won't agree with them but fuck them. I won't defend nor trash Tiesto, I've seen him at his best and at his worst live. The DJ MAG has become pathetic and lame and you know what really matters, what you personally think because you make your own decisions. So to those who say armin is the best, good, pvd, fine, tiesto..up to you.

have a nice day
