12 and 14 we're both tech-trance tracks if I recall correctly, so if northern lights got played around the middle it will be number 15.

edit: Infact I just got it and am convinced that's correct, cheers.

edit 2: Miami was number 5. I'll edit these 2 changes in the tracklist above.

hi mike.. i wasn't there, but i think these "tech-trancers" could be: Ian Knowless - Complete Madness
John Marks - Do It Again (Ron Van Den Beuken Remix)[his fave tune atm]

All in all a good night then!!

Pretty much expected Mikey Mike's comments.. i'm sure no matter what I played you felt in necessary to abuse it... thanks.

MC?? We do the Mic a few times throughout the night to introduce DJ's and a couple of times during the longer sets.. it you felt this "ruined" the set, then i'm afraid you are in the minority.

But thanks all for continuing to support us...

Andy

in all fairness that was a pretty awful vocal number that came up 1 or 2 tunes after voco me, around about the time i left (which was mainly due to the heat/me being tired)

i'd agree with you on the 'MCing' though, i didn't think it was obtrusive at all

That's bullshit. You started with a quality track and as a result I stayed to see how you progressed from there. When you brought the second track in, it was shit and everyone I was with set off home. But I didn't. I thought i'd stick around for a bit and see what was to come. You asked for a chance and I gave you one, but as I expected I didn't at all like what you were playing...

All in all I had a good night, thought Askew's set was good and PVD was good aswell, probably would have been grest if his set didnt lose its momentum in places. On the subject of the Mcing, the only time it really annoyed when is when it completely spoiled the buildup of Inertia - The Chamber. There was just no need at all.

See well thats different... I have no problem with that at all.. everyone has different taste's in music obviously.. You didn't like my music, fine... But stating that i'm "shit" just because you have different taste in tunes to me is another..

Following on from the worlds #2 DJ, after an excellent 3 hour set is probably one of the hardest jobs as a DJ.. when you get a chance at it one day I hope you do well.

But where have I said that anywhere in this thread? My only post in reference to you before this night was this:

quote:
On a technical front, there's nothing amazing about them, but they're not shit either. I just think they both play dog shit music

And my only post in reference to you after the night was this:

quote:
It was wishful thinking that he might actually go on to keep up the pace to which he had set himself, but alas, no; he proceeded it immediately with shit fanny trance. I soon left.

I havn't once called you a shit DJ. I said you play shit music. Which then makes me wonder about the following:

Why would you be placed on a lineup after van Dyk when you're playlist is far less 'banging' ? It was obvious you were never going to be able to keep up the pace given your preference in music. This is a fact given how quickly the place emptied within 15 mins of you starting. Marc West would have been far more suitable surely?

Whether Marc or myself or any one else came on at 4am after 3 hours of PVD, the place was still going to empty out as: A. He was the main attraction that people had come for and B. Most people are proper knackered by that time. I could have played more "banging" as you put it but trust me, I know Passion far better than you ever will and the style I played at the end suited the masses that were there. If I had nailed out some harder music in any form, it would have emptied the club twice as fast.. guaranteed. The only way that place would have been kept going as busy as it was, was if I had played loads of classics, but thats not what i'm about.

I've recently seen Askew, Sheridan and Van Linden close after big DJs in different locations and all did a sterling effort to keep the energy in the club until the end.

Regarding the MCing, I can see no logical reason why there is any need to introduce a DJ or tell the crowd who the DJ is during the set when you have a VJ who is plastering it allover the screens every 5 minutes.
