Is it just me or does every people that liked the show are people that are either

1: People that are new to the board
or
2: People that we have never heard of before
or
3: People from out of town

Another thing, it's the first time that i've heard about a "recours collectif" against a club for a particular night. Doesn't it rign a bell for how bad this night was ?

Hello everyone, as I have been reading this there are way to many stories and rumors about what actually has happened and what is about to happen, so I just would like to share with you what the truth is since I know both the people that are running Godskitchen and DKD.

First of all, the reason that Godskitchen is coming to Montreal is due to the fact that Montreal is a great town with a great vibe and has opportunities to make money just like anyone else. It just so happens that one of the workers of Godskitchen and the VP of DKD (who is actually one of the pioneers of Gold Club Series) are friends and have decided to team up with a few other industry leaders to work on larger scaled shows across Canada. The fact that Godskitchen can produce the dance side of things and DKD is great at doing rock concerts and other live acts makes it a great combination to produce a larger festival type of event. The have also teamed up with Gillette who specialize in running large scale concerts. Also 514 still is to this day a community pillar in the Montreal dance scene since almost day one and they have produced many great events over the past decade and this merger was clearly beneficial for all involved. They told me their main focus was not to come here and take away from anyone it was to help keep something everyone on the team believes in with such a great town like Montreal and yes to make money, there is no denying that as people do not work for free.

Now about the Tiesto show, from what I have heard form reliable sources is that it was a Gem show and Godskitchen was actually helping the promotions with the show and did not have much to do with the booking or security issues and capacity issues. Obviously when you have the #2 DJ in the world at a club that holds 1000 people in a city that dance is pretty big you are going to have problems. Stick Armin, Sasha, and PVD there it would be the same exact thing a mess. From what I also understand people who did get kicked out are calling and receiving their money back. The fact is yes he should have played at a bigger club but what was done was done.

For all you people that talk shit about Godskitchen you should stop, they have proven worldwide that they can clearly run night clubs, produce larger arena shows and build festivals. They are actually cool guys like the rest of us. Can you blame them for wanting to come to Montreal and make money doing dance events especially since some of the people that just came together are actually friends and is the VP of a concert company? I can guarantee you Celebration will be operated like any other major event that has been held at the Bell Center. I can tell you this, their main focus is to produce a Global Gathering in Montreal and Vancouver this summer with DJ’s and Live acts, it isn’t to come and squeeze as much money out of everyone by bringing Tiesto to Circus and over selling the place, seriously come on. I am sure they are business men and have good work ethics like anyone such as Aria or Stereo and believe in lengthy relationships with the paying customers. Other wise why would have been around for 7 years and have done things in almost every major city worldwide other wise why would people like DKD, BBC1, Playstation, Space, Ice do business with them. They are just a different brand that something you are used to and that’s why all the hate. They actually have been helping the scene in Montreal all these years from over seas by teaching the youth about this culture just like Aria or Bal en Blanc has been doing the same for the scene. For fuck sake’s grow up, this isn’t about hate.

Well this is pretty much the gist of what I know, I am a Godskitchen supporter as I have been to many of their events as well as a supporter of any good party really, so for now take care and whom ever is coming to Celebration I will see you there as it will be a great place to be on New Years Eve.

Here is the flash invite incase you haven’t seen it, it is pretty cool www.godskitchen.com/celebration

dude

What would you rather have, a club owner that lies, but that actually tries to do something with his club.
or
A club owner that you never hear about, or that you hear only when a big night is coming

Or, if you want it more clear.

What would you rather Have

Aria
or
514 productions

Clearly, Aria had its flaws and clearly the owner don't really address them, but at least he tries to get something going for his club.

514 production is obviously what brought the scene the the "mainstream" in Montreal, but they actually the reason why events have gone down in quality. Before 514 tried to book only big dj's event were something else, it was parties, with drag queens, people who would come to partie in costumes and things like that. and because of 514 it has now become Big dj, Big room, Big lights and people that are in are the one in charge of making the party.

Also, All-nite-freak, you think the same way as i do because for once you actually hd a intelligent thought ! Which, by the way, is a first for you on this board.

im sure they will pull their shit togheter after this, because worst thing for a buisness is its reputation taking a downfall, but still doesnt help that they put their name on this event, have not heard anything from anyone related to Gem events, Circus nightclub, or Godskitchen. Also fact is that people were kicked out, tickets were TOO expensive for 1 dj in a club (this was BEB price) and he didnt even spin his 6 hours.

"MOntreal is THE party town, tiesto is amazing, this was the best night of my life"

how bout you come back on an actual GOOD night in MOntreal, rather than one that everyone is swearing and cursing about? My theory is that the Toronto people can't read the ravemontreal reviews cuz they're in French, so they don't understand what some of the people had to endure.

I think its because some have never experienced the true gold events...those events that are great due to vibe and music, instead of hype hype hype....If i had paid 150$ i would say it was good just to not look like a fool.My friend thinks camo is in so i am going to go out and buy camo!!!!Yeah....le lol.

Bertuzz,. J'ai lue quelques postes sur ravemontreal and let me tell you I agree with those guys. It happened to me and my friend to.
Those who had the "great-time" were the ones in front and center, untouched by the police. Also for those who claim this "great-time"
4 out of 6 hours isn't getting what we paid for, nor for the DJ to come late, nor the treatment off the security that's including the clubbers who waited for hours.

huggs946 from ravemonteal.com posted a funny cartoon about big DJ's.
