Well you see, respect is earned, as you know. The problem is, people respect different things for different reasons. Hell, people respect the same things for different reasons. Personally, I haven't seen Floorfiller do anything here that would warrant any respect from me. He mostly just laughs at everything, flirts with every woman here, draws pictures in MS paint, knows a lot about music I haven't the slightest interest toward, and most recently, performs his newest Rodney Dangerfield impersonation. Someone else might respect him for any or all of those things. None of them particularly impress me. I make a lot of jokes about myself and others, I know about most music that most here do not, and I...pretend...to be jennypie's bitch. Some respect me for these things, and some do not.
That's just how things work with human beings. If you cannot give without expecting something in return, you will have problems like our friend FloorFiller here. If you don't mind giving and getting nothing in return, at least once in a while, you should do just fine. Since the former will make you look a fool for wanting things you cannot have (like friend Floorfiller), the latter is probably the wisest disposition. Do what you do best and/or do what you wish, do not demand or require respect, and accept the respect that you are given; if you choose to do so and if it matters to you so much that it is given you on an internet forum by people you never have and never will know.

summary: You can't demand respect. You can only command it.
He can earn my respect just like anyone else. Right, now we're equals on these forums. Until he's in a position of authority, then he can earn my respect just like anyone else.
other than that, i treat him with the respect i give everyone else in these forums.

he's lucky i still respect him...
either way, if he hadn't said what he said in the forum above, i'd still treat him the same way i am now....
don't tell me he's the one that deserves more respect. Read the thread and tell me that i'm the one that needs to be more mature.
He's a hyporcrite... I'll be glad to see him go... but doesn't mean i'm disrespectful to him. |
thanks for reminding me what an idiot you are, makes sense now that you find the correlation between attitude and registration date rather than attitude and intellect.
