I'm inclined to agree with System-J on this one, although I don't think it really matters. Trying to categorize everything only leads to pointless frictions between groups who feel the need to distinguish themselves from others and want to call something "their own", as Unworldly pointed out. Just enjoy the music, it's as simple as that.

I guess it's human nature to try to define everything and put it into categories.

What i was getting at with my original post was just because someone puts a breakbeat in a trance tune doesnt make it breaks. That just makes it a trance tune with a breakbeat in it.

There's an extended interlude in Netherworld, a bridge if you will, which features electro breaks driving the rhythm. In no way is it a breakdown though.
