Municipal Archives [corner of chambers st & 1 Centre St. tons of family and governmental records stored there, housed in a former courthouse]

Amazing French cuisine. Fantastic wine list as well, though many are costly. When we went, there was a $10,000 bottle and the majority were over $100, but they do have a 40 for $40 page in the thick book that is their wine list.

Amazing service and very knowledgeable sommelier. They gave us three free desserts for just barosoap and I, which capped off a great meal. Also part of the Myriad restaurant group that includes Nobu and Tribeca Grill.

Old Homestead: [14th St. & 9th Ave] probably my fave steakhouse in the city. my grandfather knew the owners back in the day, when the meatpacking district was actually used for packing meat, and we'd get hooked up. place has been hanging on since the 1880s.
