Yeah, keeping proper form requires core strength. People dont like doing it because it lowers the amount of weight you can do as it isolates muscles.
Gets a great core though. My back problems have been slowly disappearing from proper form.
When I try to get a good ab thing going though, Its intense ab routines 2x a week and diet reduction. abs are the last thing I work on.

Every muscle group needs at least 48 hours of rest after the workout no matter what weights you used.

So what you're saying is that if you work all the muscles, you shouldn't exercise them the next day?
But if you for eg work your chest and back one day, then it's fine to work the arms and shoulders the next?
Basically as long as you're giving each set of muscles a day to rest?

I basically group the muscles I work on different days.
Chest, Triceps, shoulders (the pushing muscles) Monday-Wed.-Fri
Back, biceps (pulling muscles) Tues-Thur-Sat
Legs (both)whenever
Of course, you can change your routine. It's just an example.

i dont think that goes for running though... right?
anyhow im starting to run 25 minutes a day, and im about to start cutting alot of my meals down.. not down of course.. but eating less. i start to think while running that i truely eat alot, so smaller portions will begin tomorrow. im also thinking of getting a punching bag and gloves for my birthday that is coming up the 2nd. hopefully i start seeing results in a month or 2 because i gained like 13 pounds of fat during vacation

Took a break from nov. to jan., getting back into the routine at the moment. Im at 210 lbs right now, looking to get down to 200 and keeping the same amount of muscle mass. Focusing on the upper part of my chest and the middle part. Here's some recent pics:
