Or is there a hell that's still hot but not quite as balmy as the one reserved for extra wicked? You know - As late Jerry Falwell would describe "the sausage smoking buggery fiends", the kind that like Lolis or mass-murdering deviants? I'm curious. Is there a guest list to Club Heaven? Oh... I gotta be on JC's list? No general admission? Awww... shucks.

what i said was clearly a joke.

You know what I believe in?

Point noted. Now this is an argument of beliefs.

quote:
Ultimately we all will rot in graves. The end. Purpose served. There's no afterlife, no carrot on the stick, no sweet reward, no 72 virgins, no eternal happiness, nothing of that sort.

Wait a minute. Is this your belief, or is this for real ? How can you be so sure ? I believe in reincarnation. I believe in the theory of karma. I believe what you do in this life will affect your current and future lives. There is a sweet reward today and tomorrow if you behave, else you will pay by being born to taleban parents in Afghanisthan. How are you any more correct than me in these beliefs ?

quote:
Just whatever you accomplish here is what stays behind. No ultimate justice, no judgement day. You live, you die, hopefully leaving something behind worth remembering you by or at least someone worthy of breathing the air here.

Judgement day and such are specifics of each religion. Besides, they are probably philosophical concepts which were lost upon people and now the word gets equated to it's literal meaning.

quote:
Sorry to shatter your pink, romantic view of the world but your carcas is all mass. The only energy I believe in is the kind that zaps me when I wear staticky clothes or forget to disconnect electricity at the breaker - you know, the kind most of us have to pay for in a form of a monthly bill.

Again, are you sure ? what makes you say this with authority as a fact ? Science has yet to quantitatively analyze consciousness, so relax. Don't jump to any conclusions of that sort.

quote:
Hate to disapoint you there chief. But hey, if it floats your boat, fills your sail, keeps you going - MORE POWA FOR YA!

In absolute terms, what more power do you think you have by rejecting religion than me by accepting it ?

quote:
peace be onto you.

Amen.

isn't all these debates about religion? what about wars? it's always argument of beliefs. so, no hiding behind clever statements after flinging flaming sh!t bomb

I'm not any more correct than people sending others to die for religious causes or killing others for what they believe in. the only difference, I haven't killed anyone for disagreeing with me (yet). And if I am re-incarnated to be Taleban's parents in Afghanistan then I'll b!tch and moan about crussaders, learn how to make explosive belts, educate myself on how to properly beat my wife... erm, I mean educate my wife and would make the best of favorite past time such as scaring venomous snakes and taunting americans with my fake clay AK-47.

Is this your belief? Coz' it goes against many religious doctrines. Surely a religious person would not dismiss Armageddon so simply and easily (unless we're talking about movie of the same name).

Actually, I don't consider personal beliefs as "conclusions". I'm quite open minded and not an atheist. I'm agnostic. Yes, it's like being religious equivalent of "bi-seksual" - a greedy bastard, not willing to commit.

Um... I have a problem with RELIGIONS, not with GOD. "Don't let your religion get in your way with God" is what I believe in.

I'm agnostic too. It's really the most logical stance because one will never be able to prove 100% that god either exists or doesn't.

nice replies, i get tired of arguing such things. these religious types are always trying to prove something which is impossible to prove. Imagine how better off the world would be if they actually did some good instead constructing these intricate reasons to convince you that there is factual basis for their religion.

if religous fanatics spent half the time they spend on arguing their point to help the bad areas of the usa we would have a much better place with less poverty.
