have people forgotten the meaning behind this event, LOVEfest? it's meant to be a gathering of people united by a common love for electronic music. mojo, we all know your passionate distaste for trance, you're able to communicate that sentiment in almost every thread you post in here, and frankly it's gotten extremely old. we know that tranceaddict is also a place for houseaddicts, but no where is it mentioned that it's also a place for haters.
if you want to attend this event, then do it. if not, then don't. it's a pretty simple cost-benefit analysis that most people can make privately on their own without being condescending towards others. if you ever decide to make yourself known here, you'll find that this place is more about community and friends than simply the music.
alain, thanks for the mix... grabbing it now! |
Thank you, my thoughts exactly.

so I'm not allowed to express my opinion about an event unless it's 100% complimentary? then when someone comes into the thread just to attack me for it, I'm not allowed to say anything in my defense (not only that, but I'm the one who gets portrayed as the one stinking things up)? what gives?

Apparently this isn't the only time you have "expressed your opinion." Basically, everyone gets it. You don't like trance. You don't need to bash every event that has trance, just ignore it.

nicely put.. thank u!,
that's correct, why are we hating on anyone taste's of music... i myself have favorites on certain kind of genre (im sure a lot of you know this because of my posts, and a certain distaste on others, well this is true for all of us... but yea.. i said my opinion a lot in this forum too... just don't get into arguments, because i found that this is a never ending argument! what makes me goes nuts (music wise) is different than person A, or B.... my gf goes nuts to progressive house, while i scrape the walls jumping up and down to psy trance... well... so just dont argue on which sucks and which is better!
but one thing i've seen constantly happening here is people hating on kandy kidz, and ravers!!! RAVE is the only place these kids feel that they belong and some people call RAVE = HOME...
we're all going to a party for some reason... we all have our own reasons, so everyone belong at the party of course, we all belong in massives! not one of us has any more right than anyone to be at that party!!! (if u dont like it, simply don't go)
just remember that electronic music is for everyone, this is why i love this scene because anybody can enjoy the party however they want! everyone belongs! i see different people from the scale of beautiful to ugly from skinny to fat all dancing together to enjoy electronic music!!! it's awesome, that's the very ideal that made why this scene differs from others...
so don't hate on the kandy kidz, at one point, some of us (if not all of us) were just like one of them before!

Yeah I wanna go but I don't know about these $kill$ prices. Compare $65 for the Afterparty to $45 for Monster Massive which has a far better lineup. Even 1015 has a lineup that's arguably as good and it's $25, I'd rather go to the Official Afterparty because I prefer the rave atmosphere but man $140 for 2 tickets, its like we're going to see some baby boomer nostalgia band, I don't think this can be officially termed a 'rave' and I don't think I'm gonna be convinced to drop the bucks on it. |
Hey the tickets first went on sale for $45 so if you did not get early tickets dont blame Skills for the high prices.. the demand is high and there is and will be people paying $75 sooo, your bad..
I got my tickets at $45
