compare opel gt with saturn sky too. hell, saturn sky is a pure imitation of the gt.

since GM bought opel and all of it's other brands (holden and vauxhall) in the countries it produces cars to, many european car concepts were stolen/ used to produce imitation in the American continent. Mechanically a sky won't stand up to a gt in any situation + the fact that the GT is stronger built and has been around longer.

edit: in addition to the american vs foreign cars, compare the looks of pontiac g5 with holden/opel GTO; they look way too similar, again American designers steeling the looks of the GT which has been around for a bit and looked good, the supped up the engine a bit and there's your near clone, if you can even call it a clone, because it ain't nothing like a holden/opel.

in my own opinion, they didn't engineer/built that car well enough to produce the power it should for the fuel it consumes.
