It was either the cover or the wheel nut, which them selves have been responsible for more than their fare share of delayed pit stops. I don't think it was necessarily the cover, just an error.
The race was a bit boring, but I got the result I wanted. Kimi on top, Hamilton mired in the mid field, and Massa proving what kind of driver he really is. Ferrari have stated they are not concerned about Massa, but I think that is just media friendly talk. Inside, they must be worried.
McLaren may not have two super fast driver, but at least #2 isn't dropping it in each of the first two races.
Cannot wait to see BMW get their first win. They did well with Williams when they joined F1, but now that they are on their own, and bought my fav run of the mill team (Sauber), I am really excited to see what they can do. Kubica is much faster than I initially gave him credit for, especially considering the incredible accident he had last year. Good job for the BMW boys.

Eddie Jordan is one petty little man
quote:
Jordan hits Force India with road block
Former team owner Eddie Jordan blocked off an across road to Force India’s factory in a dispute over land he still owns.
The Irishman sold his Silverstone-based Jordan team to Midland in 2005, and although the outfit has changed hands a further two times since, he still owns some of the surrounding land to the factory.
Jordan reportedly had concrete blocks placed across the main access road while Force India were in Malaysia for last weekend’s grand prix, with team employees now forced to use another entrance to get to work.
He told Reuters that he decided to act after waiting two years for the factory owners to enquire about buying the rest of the land with the road on from him.
"I had to make a stand, they have to come and talk to me," he told the news agency.
"I paid for the road and put it on my land.
"I've got no problem with [Force India co-owner Vijay] Mallya.
"It's the people who are managing the business who don't want to talk."
What a stand up guy. He waited till they weren't even in the country.
He is just mad because somebody is actually make the finances work with that broken/rehashed team. Go back to telling ITV how good or bad Jensen is doing every two weeks, and leave the Force alone to race.

Not to mention the time they lose in having to swerve around the slow cars, even if at full acceleration. Not to mention how it can mess up their concentration.
You really think it's safe if they cut across the track at 60km/h all the time to avoid being on the raceline? Giles his death was an example what happens when a slower car moves off his line and the drivers behind him misinterpretes his moves. It's a problem created by the FIA which isn't going to be solved unless they change the rules.

Of course if they cut across the track ahead of Heidfeld and Alonso it'd be even more dangerous, that's why the team should've been quicker to inform them via radio that fast cars were approaching, so that they could get away from the racing line before Heidfeld and Alonso were any near - like all the other cars on track did, without causing any problems.

Haha, this season is starting to look better than the last one allready. Now this explains why Max Mosley "punished" Mclaren so heavily with a world record fine. Max Mosley likes to punish.
