Huh, I did not know that. You just scored a shitload of points. Whereabouts are you from? |
Crunk ass KENT! It started off as a really nice suburb out in the woods where (as my mom told me) wild deer would come up to the house once in a while. Now it's probably one of the trashiest suburbs in Seattle.
| quote: | | There are one or two goth shops on Capitol Hill (and one occult shop which scares the hell out of me every time I pass it.), though it's mostly populated by your typical left-wing hippie/indie/vegan/emo crowd. Not really many around the Space Needle, and I never venture into the U-District often enough, but I'd say it's about the same crowd as Capitol Hill. |
Capitol Hill used to be THE epicenter of EDM music in the 90s. Plenty more freaks, like Candy Kids (yeah there were a decent group of them too lol) hung out there all the time. Used to be WAY more record shops too. I worked at Frequency-8 records and quit about a year before it folded in 2004. Yeah now Capitol Hill is totally left-wing emo crowd with a few good Asian restaurants and a bunch of rich snotty fags. Not much EDM left there except for a few good clubs and the Platinum Records store.
Today if you go to "Dicks" on Broadway and see the trash that hang out there begging for change, that's pretty much the "Ave" in the U-dist when I went to UW, but of course with lots of (hot) college kids too.
Long live Seattle! Although I'm in L.A. now. But it's been raining for a week now and everything got so soggy it reminded me of Seattle.
