All right, time to throw in my .02
Americans are lazy... well some
Dutch people wear wooden shoes and grow tulips... well some (maybe not the wooden shoes)
Spanish-Americans cut your grass... well some
British people have bad teeth... well some
The original poll about Americans being lazy is just noticing a stereotype. You have to keep things in perspective: this is text on your computer. It won’t really effect your daily life in any terrible way.
On the idea of American society being a commuter society I agree. Where I live, the developed area between Milwaukee, WI and Chicago, IL, I have to drive a lot. I wanted to go pickup GTA3 today so I had to drive to the mall. It’s about 15 miles (24.1 Kilometers) away. When I go to work I have to drive 30 miles (48.3 Kilometers). I have to drive all over Lake and Cook County because everything is very spaced out.
I am an American. But do you know what my roots are? Mostly Check & German, Canadian, and French. I am a mutt and so are most Americans.
