I'll have a look.

while off thread topic (lol) but on this topic, 'look' at how densely populated (downtown) Vancouver is:

Mexico City doesn't have the skyscrapers but its urban area goes on forever and ever.

EDIT, links don't show anything at my work.. guess I should go home now

densly built, but densly populated? I don't know. Especially with small condos not favoring families. In Montreal, most condos you see downtown are 600-800 sqf units, a couple can hardly live in there, let alone children. My point is that condos are geared more toward single people than families, less people marry and have children, or usually have one or two in the burbs.

BTW Paris has mostly 6-8 stories buildings and is denser than Vancouver.

I would assume densely populated, though some of those condos are empty, bought up by asians. Downtown Van is remarkable, community-wise. You'll see schools and community centres there, mini parks too. Peeps own yachts and stuff just metres away from their front doors, and for those who work downtown, the car stays put. My brother and a buddy both live and work downtown and both drive SUVs, parked in the garage all day of course, smirk.

those porkchops? Damn

just off top of my head, Montreal has lost:

Formula One
Expos

Vancouver has lost:

Molson Indy
NBA Grizzlies
Triple A baseball team

Ottawa:

Triple A, Double A team
CFL team

I'm sure you can add to that list. Toronto really hasn't lost anything I don't think. In fact, it is talking about an NFL team and a second NHL team and I won't be surprised if TO tries for the Olympics again in the near future. I think Montreal hit its peak in the 70s, I read recently that they were even thinking NFL right after it got the '76 Olympics and stuff. I also read somewhere they withdrew its MLS bid, smaller potatoes of course.

I saw those animation maps at home, pretty dope.

I think Vancouver will get its MLS expansion team.. the Ottawa bid is puzzling, imo.
