Yeah that definitely makes sense. Maybe it's possible to post clips from the remixes that did not make it? This way anybody could get some constructive criticism on their work.
yeah, that is a good ideea

yeah deffinitly, or we might be allowed to post them on myspace or something if they're properly labelled as remix contest applications: would be good to get some feedback on mine after...
for the first time ever i'm actually having a little bit of trouble with my percussion, it's usually a breeze for me...
maybe cause of the bassline i'm using, or just cause i'm using a lot of the original tracks and not making it all my own (as i would normally do...)

Lmao!
I will tape my eyes shut till the competition ends (when I produce)
give you and every other man on this board 10 mixes against my one,
and I'll still win.
haha seriously though I completely scrapped my 2 second attempt on this song already, today I started my third and I'm pretty confident this will be the one I wind up finishing.
I am going to email the vocals (that I synced and pitched for melody) to vortex for anyone who wants them. (I split the original vocal also into 8 different samples so its easier to work with)
For people who want the key a word is on they'll have it.
I was worried about making it easier for people to beat me but I figure you guys all realistically can use a headstart anyway.

hey guys,
I'm thinking of a way for everyone to get heard beside the ones who make it to the polls, but in a legal way...
i think our best options will be streaming audio, ill see what server we can find for that, currently I'm not so sure of how big the space we need for everyone streaming on a server...
so it might be the usual myspace sort of web site, although quality isn't that good... if you have any idea regarding this it would be awesome, i would love it if everyone could get their share of being heard at the end of the day...
ill have to ask James about putting your mixes on your pages after the competition is over if we wont find a proper solution for everyone..

I brought the bpm down to 130 and the track just started to lock after that. Its really simple but sounding really nice too imo.
I'm using FL8 with: (in this track)
Hypersonic (for bass)
Rapture + waves doubler 4 for the synth
Hyper again for the pad
Vocals going through 2 automated sends, one camel space for the gate, and another wave morphoder for the main.
Then the rest is actually percussion work, hi hats, deep clubby toms in the begining, and the bass is an off beat sidechain.
I'm not using all the vocals, its not gonna work for this track. Just using like 17 bars worth only.
Oh and I'm gonna get the vocals out just haven't gotten around to emailing vortex yet. Hopefully tommorow, they should really help some people.

Sorry guys, but I think I'm out as I won't be able to complete the remix in time. Several factors lead me to this conclusion :
Being away from home for the holidays
friends coming over for the holidays
other remix opportunities
i had to format all my DAW's hard drives, so now I need to dig through all my CDs and such to reinstall
the fact that I haven't even started it yet
Sorry to disappoint. Check out my latest track on my myspace, though (sanctum remix). The remix probably would have sounded like that
1. Matt Acton
2. Foursii (Nick bligh)
3. Wavegliders (HansR)
4. Beamrider (Diego)
5. Stef Fawkes(Stephen)
6. Esoteric (Rob C.)
7. Egos (Jordo)
8. Justin Mead (lawl)
9. dj Robby rox & dj stan steel(atxbigballer1 & dj Robby Rox)
10. Motiva (djsphere)
