BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. who do i have to push under a bus for making that executive decision. LOL

For me it was kind of obvious... its his first show here (no diferent than Jaytech - which I whined and bitched about). I thought for sure it was going to be an 11:30-12:30 time slot for Toca... so at least its a BIT longer...

I am sure that next year (as his Toronto popularity increases) he will get a better slot. But for now just be happy he is here.

the hype of this entire night is ALL ABOUT TOCADISCO. and the time slot should have reflected that. Jaytech is still pretty under the radar....he was obviously going to open for Above & Beyond...it was them he opened for right??? this is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT in my eyes.

i thought Kaskade would be the opener....FOR SURE. He's way more of an opener than Tocadisco.

It all depends on who you know... for me I know a lot of prog lovers so for us Jaytech is not under the radar... he is HUGE (but agreeable that he may not be a 'big' as toca)

But really... in terms of popularity for the masses I dont think he rates next to Kaskade, Sharam, or Angello.

The hype isnt ALL ABOUT TOCADISCO... once again its all about who you know. I know lots of people that its all abotu ANGELLO or SHARAM or KASKADE. It seems pretty split for this event.

I think this order makes most sense for transitions of musical styles. Like Graham said... there is very little theme to this line up and the transistions will be interesting.

To me it makes sense. I am happy. Tocadisco (who I am VERY excited about) plays at the perfect time, he doesnt interfer with me seeing any other DJs. It will be a great way to bring up the energy first thing in the night.

i also have loved Jaytech for a long time. He's one of my fav. producers.....and i whined that his set wasn't LONG enough, but not that he wasn't the headliner. He was never going to headline, since it was Above and Beyond most ppl were there to see. I'm sure they will bring him back as a headliner at SOME point. That night just wasn't about him unfortunately.

and i never thought Tocadisco would CLOSE by any means.....or be before Sharam, or Angello for that matter....but i DID think he would after Kaskade. I'm obviously happy to be seeing him....that's a given. But i want him to be able to rip Guv apart, and at 11pm? i don't know if i'm going to get what i REALLY want from him. I'm disappointed....that is all.

Fair enough.

I guess for me its what I expected the whole time, as in my eyes Kaskade is much more popular in Toronto than Tocadisco.

You can still rip the Guv apart. I did with Jaytech at 11pm.

There are no rules to when the dance floor destruction begins.

So I expect to see you front and centre destroying the floor. Dance because you love a DJ not because of what time he is playing.

oh and i never expect jaytech to be a headliner... but have more of a 11:30-1:30 slot at least.. ugh still upset about that one.

lol i totally agree with u about Jaytech. And you're right, even though his set wasn't NEARLY long enough, he def. rocked Guv. It was the best set of the night.

i hope you're right about tonight as well. Tocadisco is def. capable of ripping Guv apart. 11pm is when ppl are only just getting to Guv.....he'll be the one setting the tone for the rest of the night i guess! Kaskade comes here ALL THE TIME. There's no shortage of Kaskade in this city....so i'm just a little frustrated

i will def. see u front and centre on the dancefloor tonight shitty time slots have def. never stopped me before.
