So before you all get your panties in a bunch the Swine Flu has been confirmed by scientists as being a 'mild strain' of virus. It has to mutate more in order to cause mass killings people are expecting.

Thank you. It's what I've been trying to say but but I didn't have a news source.
And apparently the number of deaths in Mexico was misreported, went down from 150 to like 7, haha. This is SARS all over again.
I had no idea that 12,000 people a year die from regular flu in North America. That's crazy.

I'm so relieved that the armchair virologists of TA undertook such a vigorous scientific approach in their dismissal of swine flu as a serious threat.
I feel so much safer knowing that you guys are looking after us.

Why? Their stock is very slightly down from Monday. I don't think they've really benefited from the "pandemic".

Almost as rigorous as the mass media's scientific study and fact-checking, which was almost as rigorous as their research into the Avian flu, SARS, Ebola, Mad Cow Disease...
Come on, seriously, it's one thing if top world scientists are coming out and saying we need to be very very worried about this, but it's entirely another to be cynical over comically inflated casualty reports and general mass hysteria.

you just underscored my point. people blowing this off have done about as much research and fact-checking as the oh-so-unbiased media whose primary goal is to sell its news product with accuracy being a distant 2nd.

Considering just categorized the swine flu as a "mild strain" I won't be too worried about it until it mutates again.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8030859.stm - Swine flu not spreading like officials expected.
If you practice a sanitary lifestyle and don't down antibiotics whenever you feel ill your immune system should be great. Take Vitamin C and eat healthy. I don't understand why people STILL think taking antibiotics when you have a flu or cold will cure it. The mass consumption of antibiotics is the reason we have strains like this.
Using anti-bacterial soap and anti-bacterial hand sanitizer weakens your immune system as it seeps into the pores and wipes away the good bacteria as well. Regular soap will do just fine.
