No I wasn't. The only thing I said about conspiracy theorists "the other day" was that they're unable to distinguish the credible from the ludicrous.
"My mate Dave" is not scientific, for several reasons. The first is that he is not a repeatable experiment: I cannot observe Dave for myself and have only your information to go on. Ergo, any argument I make against Dave will be based on blind guesswork, which is easily shot down. If Dave was observable then I could integrate him into my theory or modify my theory accordingly.
Anyway, quite beyond that, you haven't proven that Dave doesn't get annoyed or unhappy. You've merely stated that he doesn't show any outward signs of these emotions when he's around you. |
Okay, so you were assuming I'm an idiot and don't know my friends. I've known the guy for 15 years, and I'm telling you, he doesn't get angry or upset often, even on the inside.
Throughout our high school years his brother would steal large sums of money from him on a monthly basis, and when I ask why he hadn't retaliated, he would just shrug and say "it's not worth it, it doesn't bother me."
You are being very close-minded by refusing to accept that such people exist. I can think of four or five people I know who are genuinely like this. The people with the fake "oh my god I'm so happy it hurts" facade are very easy to spot.
